ARTIST STATEMENT (2016)

I create paintings, collages, and wall paintings that explore memory, forgotten narratives, and the atmosphere of place.

Finding abandoned family photographs at a flea market became a defining moment in my early practice. Anonymous and detached from their histories, they inspired my oil paintings, through which I imagined new lives and relationships for their forgotten subjects.

A childhood memory sparked my interest in public space. When a neighbor suggested I paint an empty wall in our courtyard, it foreshadowed my enduring interest in the relationship between art, architecture, and atmosphere.

Whether through painting, murals, or participatory installations, my work explores how artistic interventions transform the way people experience memory, space, and one another.
